Mrs. Tracy Rodriguez
Principal
Tracy Rodriguez brings over 14 years of experience in education and has proudly
served at AcadeMir Charter Schools, Inc. since 2019. She holds a Bachelor’s degree
from Florida International University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership
from St. Thomas University. Currently, she is pursuing a Juris Master in Legal Studies
at Florida State University (Go Noles!), with a concentration in Compliance, Contracts,
and Governance. A dedicated scholar, Mrs. Rodriguez graduated Magna Cum Laude
and is a distinguished member of Kappa Gamma Pi, the National Catholic College
Graduate Honor Society.
Her journey in education began in Miami-Dade County as a first-grade teacher. Over
the years, she taught third and fourth grade, focusing on gifted, advanced, and
exceptional learners. Mrs. Rodriguez has held key leadership roles, including Science
Department Chair, Grade Level Chair, and Math Lead—positions that allowed her to
support instructional excellence across multiple grade levels. She also played an active
role in establishing various school committees and fundraising initiatives to enrich the
school community.
In 2017, Mrs. Rodriguez expanded her impact by accepting the role of Dean of Students
at a charter school serving a low-income population. In this role, she served as Title I
Facilitator, Professional Development Liaison, and Project Up-Start Liaison.
Recognizing the critical needs of students in transitional housing, she helped establish
essential partnerships for clothing drives, tutoring support, and food backpack programs
to ensure students’ well-being beyond the classroom.
In 2021, Mrs. Rodriguez was asked to serve as Assistant Principal of AcadeMir Charter
School West. She played a pivotal role in the successful expansion of the school’s
Middle School and in achieving Cognia reaccreditation. She is passionate about academic excellence,
character development,and ensuring that every student issupported through early intervention, enrichment,
and a deep love for learning.Now, she is serving as the proud principal of AcadeMir Preparatory
Academy and AcadeMir Charter School Middle.
Mrs. Rodriguez is married and the proud mother of two children. She and her family are
excited about their continued journey with AcadeMir Charter Schools, Inc. and value the
strong sense of community and purpose within the AcadeMir organization.

Erlan Cabrera
Asst. Principal
My name is Erlan Cabrera, and I live in Miami, Florida. I am an Assistant Principal and Science Curriculum
Coach at Academir Charter Schools. Previously, I worked as a Math and Science Instructional Coach and K-12
Curriculum Specialist for two years. I have also taught Biology, 8th-grade Science, and Robotics.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. Additionally, I have a
Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Havana. From 2011 to 2014, I worked as a Marine Biologist
at the National Aquarium of Cuba,where I gained experience in scientific data processing and analysis.
I led a research project on invasive species in Cuba and have published scientific papers on the topic.
After moving to the United States in 2017, I began working as a middle school science teacher at Hammocks Middle School.
I obtained a temporary certification from the Florida Department of Education as a Middle Grades Science and Biology teacher.
I earned credits from Miami Dade College School of Education and received my Professional Educator Certificate in 2019.
I am certified to teach Middle School Science, Biology, and Mathematics.
